The Jersey Shore has always had a large number of ‘unintentional landlords’ who may have bought a second home here but later decided to use it as income property. Conover Property Management began as a way to provide professional help to homeowners to deal with a variety of tasks, including screening potential tenants, collecting rent, evictions, dealing with complaining neighbors, maintenance issues, and code violations.
In 2013 Anthony Newarski expanded then-107 year old real estate company John C. Conover Agency into property management in an effort to serve all the agency’s clients’ needs. Our first property manager was Travis Newarski and we had two accounts.
In 2015 Brian Johnson joined Travis as an account manager.
In 2016 Travis became the John C. Conover Agency’s broker of record and his brother Jared Newarski joined Conover Property Management.
In 2017 Anthony stepped away from the real estate branch of the agency to concentrate on the property management side. Brian took over operations of Conover Property Management as the Director. Additionally, Charles Dayon joined the team, and the company expanded into commercial property management.
In 2018 the John C. Conover Agency merged with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Signature Properties, and Conover Property Management became its own standalone company.
In 2019 Phil Bertole joined Conover Property Management, becoming Senior Account Manager later that year.
Today Conover Property Management has three account managers and 19 accounts with 35 units. Our client base consists of second homes, large multifamilies, two-family homes, short term rentals, single family rental properties, condos, shopping centers, warehouses, meeting halls, and more.
